3/23/24 Coffee Cupping

Cupping: the process of sampling multiple coffees prepared in the same way, side-by-side. This allows cuppers to recognize the inherent differences of each coffee easily and without distraction.

Ever wonder how people can reference so many different flavors in a single black cup of coffee? This is your chance to find out how to name what you taste! This is a beginner-friendly event; you will have plenty of instruction so your time is fruitful And fun. Using the flavor wheel and our gustatory senses, we will practice articulating flavors and distinguishing different coffees. This skill is useful in finding out what kind of coffee you like; it's also useful for those who like to cook or mix drinks. Expanding your palate and strengthening your flavor-naming skills will prove useful to anyone interested in specialty foods and drink.
